Welcome to CCA Oregon
Resource-First, Science-Based Advocates
For centuries, our fisheries have played an important part of our state's history and heritage. Today, that heritage is threatened: in the Pacific Northwest, more than 200 species of fish are extinct and 153 species are on the endangered list.
CCA Oregon is one of 17 state chapters of the nonprofit Coastal Conservation Association, which has been involved in virtually every national fisheries debate since 1984. CCA Oregon advocates for the protection of our state's marine resources and the interests of anglers, and has quickly become the voice of marine conservation in our state.
Comprised of a dozen local chapters and thousands of members across the state, CCA Oregon puts the protection of the resource first in our fight to ensure sustainable fisheries for future generations. It's a huge goal, but vital to the health of our state and our region. |
